Graduates will be able to draw on iwi relationships within and beyond Taranaki. You will demonstrate critical awareness of traditional and contemporary tikanga related to life and death and be able to fulfil protocols utilising karakia, waiata, kōrero and formal language tools.
Confidence gained speaking Taranaki dialect will enhance learners’ iwi and hapū connections and raise your profile within Taranaki. The capacity to utilise Taranaki reo in a range of contexts will strengthen your current roles in organisations.
Six total immersion weekend wānanga are delivered on key Taranaki marae.
